Behavioral health services

Care that meets you where you are

We offer integrated behavioral health care: psychiatric medication management, psychotherapy, couples and family work, and specialty programs. Care is available in person and through secure telehealth, where clinically appropriate.

01

Psychotherapy

Individual therapy here is not a generic offering rotated among modalities by availability. Each therapist works within an evidence-based orientation suited to what a patient brings, whether that is the careful restructuring of cognitive patterns, the slow mapping of relational history, or the somatic processing of experience the body has held. Sessions are unhurried, and the therapeutic relationship is treated as a clinical instrument in its own right.

Our therapists are independently licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, PsyD, or PhD) and matched to your care based on your goals and the modalities best suited to them. Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly to start.

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills
  • Psychodynamic and supportive psychotherapy
  • Trauma-focused care
  • Perinatal and postpartum-specific therapy

Couples & Family Care

Relational work at Pacific Crest Medical proceeds from the understanding that distress rarely lives in one person alone. Couples and family sessions create a contained space where patterns that have calcified over time can be examined without the pressure of daily life pressing in from every side. Therapists trained in relational modalities guide this work with attention to the full field of the relationship, not just its most visible conflicts.

Relationships are part of behavioral health. Our couples and family clinicians are trained in evidence-based systemic and relational modalities, and care is delivered with the same evidence base as our individual treatment.

  • Couples therapy (Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method-informed)
  • Family therapy for adults and adult-child family units
  • Parent guidance for adults navigating parenting under stress

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Psychiatric care at Pacific Crest Medical begins with a thorough diagnostic evaluation that takes seriously not just symptom presentation but history, context, and the ways a person's life has shaped their current experience. Medication, when appropriate, is introduced thoughtfully, monitored with real clinical attention, and reconsidered whenever the evidence calls for it. Prescribers remain in active communication with the practice's therapeutic staff throughout.

Our psychiatric care is delivered by physicians who completed an MD or DO, a four-year residency in psychiatry, and who hold board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Visits are scheduled at the frequency your care requires.

  • Diagnostic psychiatric evaluation
  • Ongoing psychiatric medication management
  • Coordination with primary care & specialty providers
  • Care for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, perinatal mental health, and major life transitions
  • Telehealth or in-person at your preference

Telehealth

Secure video appointments extend the practice's care to adults across California who cannot easily reach a physical office, or who find that their best clinical work happens in the familiar surroundings of home. The experience is structured to preserve the quality of the in-person encounter: the same clinician, the same scheduled time, the same unhurried pace. Platform security meets HIPAA standards without requiring patients to navigate complicated setup.

Where clinically appropriate, both psychiatric care and psychotherapy are available through HIPAA-compliant telehealth. The same clinicians, the same care — delivered to wherever you can find a quiet, private space within your state of residence.

  • Telepsychiatry medication management
  • Teletherapy for psychotherapy and couples care
  • Secure, HIPAA-compliant platform
  • Equal-fee, in-network billing where your plan permits

Specialty Care

Beyond general psychiatric and therapeutic care, Pacific Crest Medical has developed focused clinical depth in several areas where adults often find that standard outpatient offerings fall short. These specialty programs bring together prescribers and therapists who have concentrated training in a given condition, creating a more coherent and informed treatment environment than a generalist practice can typically provide.

Some conditions benefit from a clinician with focused training. Our specialty programs are organized around the diagnostic categories that present most often in adult outpatient behavioral health, staffed by clinicians with additional training in each area.

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Mood disorders
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • OCD
  • Perinatal mental health
  • Life transitions and identity
  • Workplace burnout and chronic stress
